Location Description:In Kotayk Province, Nor (New) Erznka village is located north of Ashtarak, the capital city of the Aragatsotn Province.

Development/Construction Process:Since the authorities of Soviet Union never officially acknowledged the fact of the Armenian Genocide, those monuments commemorating the victims of the Genocide built under the Soviet rule were abstracted in one way or the other. One such way was to not specify the word ‘genocide’ or the date ‘1915’ in the inscriptions. This memorial is among these types of monuments.
History of Ownership:Owned by the Soviet State before 1991 and the State of Armenia after 1991.
