Prior Use of Site:Between 1892 and 1954 Ellis Island was an immigration destination and entry point to the USA.
Development/Construction Process:The display consists of a board with images of immigrants and data about Armenians at Ellis Island. Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty are located in New York Harbor and are open daily except Christmas from approximately 9:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Access to both islands is by the Circle Line Statue of Liberty Ferry which leaves from the Battery in Lower Manhattan and from Liberty State Park in New Jersey.
