"The Proud Armenians" National Geographic Magazine

Jordan, Robert Paul.
Washington, D.C.: National Geographic, 1978, June Issue, 27 pages.

"I look out on the distant Euphrates, not wanting to hear of such agony. The river was a glinting ribbon on its timeless run to Mesopotamia."

Description:
This article has aged well. Though Soviet Armenia no longer exists and since the article was written Armenians have faced yet another major tragedy (a massive earthquake in 1988), the essence of the article remains true. It contains a basic history of the Armenian people including the Armenian Genocide, and also reports on the Armenian Diaspora that stretches from the Middle East to the United States.
